Some Brief History about Kelly’s Caribbean and the Outdoor Gardens … 

Located at 301 N. Whitehead Street, on the corner of Whitehead and Caroline, stands one of Key West’s most impressive and historic buildings- Kelly’s Caribbean.  Well known for being the birthplace of Pan American Airlines, Pan-Am’s first tickets were sold out of this very building in 1927.  Kelly’s Caribbean’s main level includes soaring trees that arch and create a living canopy in the main garden by day and sparkling with lights at night.  Off the main red-bricked garden and behind French doors lies the Southernmost Brewery in the USA. The famous Crash Bar, so named for the Sikorsky seaplane plunging through the ceiling, provides a unique drinking surface- an aluminum wing- and is located off the main garden.  The second floor Tree-Top Deck (also know as the rooftop garden) is nestled in the tree-tops, it provides a view of the lower Main Garden dining area and of Whitehead Street.  The rooftop garden level is complete with restroom facilities and an indoor open air-pavilion area which is also open to the main garden below. 

We not only offer catering and private events, but also restaurant reservations in the outdoors gardens of Kelly’s for those times when a private garden is not required.  We are excited to offer specialty menus for restaurant reservations and large groups to you and your guests.  With this option you would have a pre-selected menu created from our current dining menu and your reservation would be held in one of our outdoor gardens with the other restaurant patrons.  This option is quite different from the catering/special events, as you would not have a private space, the specialty tables, music/musician, ability to socialize, dancing area or private bar set-up.  We would be happy to send restaurant reservation information over to you if you are interested, just let us know.

All events include this basic rental package:

 60” round tables

 White floor length linens

White napkins

 White bistro chairs

 All flatware and glassware

 Upgrades are available for an additional charge. See Upgrades & Enhancement Page.

All private events must meet a food and beverage minimum to reserve space.

 This is based on date, time, and location.
